Expenditures on research and development (R&D) in Poland doubled between 2010 and 2022. However, this increase has not been matched by a proportional improvement in the level of innovation. Poland's economy remains significantly less innovative than the European Union average. Dr Marek Wagner, head of the Innate Immunity Research Group at Łukasiewicz - PORT, has achieved something that does not happen very often in Polish (and not only) science, but is the dream of every researcher. He has just published an article in "Nature", one of the most prestigious scientific journals in the world. In it, he described, among other things, the results of his research on ILC2 immune cells. - Successes

Stanford University, in collaboration with the Elsevier publishing house, has published an update of its list of the 2% most cited researchers. This year, the list includes 14 of our researchers. This is six more people than in the previous year. - Successes
