Łukasiewicz Research Network and Amentum Poland have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at developing and implementing advanced technological solutions supporting the energy transition, security and industrial competitiveness. The partnership will cover areas including nuclear energy, space technologies, dual-use solutions, advanced materials and engineering systems.

It is designed to respond quickly and effectively to the needs of business and public administration in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. The Competence Centre for Technological Solutions in Artificial Intelligence has begun operating at the Katowice-based Łukasiewicz – AI, an institute belonging to the Łukasiewicz Research Network. The official opening took place on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, at the Goldstein Villa in Katowice. - News

Farada Group, a portfolio company of WSE-listed JRH ASI S.A., announces that it has signed a cooperation agreement with Lukasiewicz-Warsaw Institute of Technology in connection with the start of cooperation in the field of marine unmanned systems. The agreement paves the way for Farada Group to prepare and analyze a model for the commercialization and sale (or sales brokerage) of the Manta USV marine drone in foreign markets. - News

Łukasiewicz Research Network is actively strengthening Poland’s security. In 2023, the share of projects carried out by Łukasiewicz in the field of defence and security stood at just over 12 percent. In 2026, it is already close to 70 percent, said Dr Hubert Cichocki, President of Łukasiewicz Research Network, during the 8th edition of the Defence24 Days conference, held in Warsaw on 6–7 May. - News

Łukasiewicz was a partner of one of the most important forums for debate on the future of the Polish and European economy — the 18th European Economic Congress in Katowice. The event, held at the International Congress Centre, brought together around 1,300 speakers and 13,500 participants. The programme included more than 200 debates devoted, among other topics, to the impact of innovation on the economy and security.

News17 Apr 2026Łukasiewicz and the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Chełm launch cooperation for the development of aviation and autonomous vehicles
Łukasiewicz Research Network, with a leading role played by Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation and Łukasiewicz – Upper Silesian Institute of Technology, will cooperate with the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Chełm. The agreement signed today provides for joint research, development and educational initiatives, as well as technology transfer. The areas already identified as fields of cooperation include propulsion systems used in aviation, systems for unmanned vehicles, and specialised welding. - News
News15 Apr 2026EU Support for the Development of Laser Technologies in the Łukasiewicz Research Network
Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics (Łukasiewicz – IMiF) has received more than PLN 8.5 million to develop modern research infrastructure. The funding comes from the European Funds for Mazovia 2021–2027 programme. As a result, a research and development centre for ICL and T2SL laser technologies, unique in Poland, will be established. - News

Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski, Minister of Science Marcin Kulasek and Chair of the Sejm Subcommittee on Science Dorota Olko visited the laboratories of Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics in Piaseczno. The Institute specializes in solutions in nanoelectronics, photonics and innovative power supply systems.
