On September 3, the Łukasiewicz Research Network and Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. (Polish Armaments Group, PGZ) signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at intensifying cooperation in research and development and the transfer of modern technologies to the Polish defense industry. The ceremony took place during the 33rd International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce (MSPO).

Łukasiewicz Research Network has launched two strategic research and development projects aimed at strengthening Poland's sovereignty in ammunition production. The projects involve the development of domestic technologies for the production of nitrocellulose and nitroguanidine, essential components of multi-base powders and rocket fuels, which form the basis of modern ammunition.

In Katowice, the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity (Łukasiewicz – AI) is now officially operating. At least 96 sets of Mobile Unmanned Reconnaissance Vehicles (MBRVs) developed by Łukasiewicz Research Network will be delivered to the Polish Armed Forces. Poland’s Armament Agency selected the offer from Łukasiewicz – Industrial Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP for the 'Tarantula' mobile reconnaissance robot.
