News07 Mar 2025Unmanned 'Tarantulas' from Łukasiewicz Research Network to Join the Polish Armed Forces
At least 96 sets of Mobile Unmanned Reconnaissance Vehicles (MBRVs) developed by Łukasiewicz Research Network will be delivered to the Polish Armed Forces. Poland’s Armament Agency selected the offer from Łukasiewicz – Industrial Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP for the 'Tarantula' mobile reconnaissance robot. - News

Expenditures on research and development (R&D) in Poland doubled between 2010 and 2022. However, this increase has not been matched by a proportional improvement in the level of innovation. Poland's economy remains significantly less innovative than the European Union average. Enhancing innovation is essential for successfully closing the development gap with the rest of Europe. - News

Letter of intent between Łukasiewicz Centre, Łukasiewicz - Institute of Ceramics and Building Materials, Polski Holding Rozwoju S.A. (PHR), and Zakład Budowy Maszyn "ZREMB - Chojnice" S.A. (ZREMB) was signed on 15 January 2025 in Warsaw. This document paves the way for cooperation concerning joint technology development projects in the area of defence and national security, which constitutes one of the key strategic directions set out in the new strategy of the Łukasiewicz Research Network. - News
News16 Jan 2025Productoskop will make it easier to combat dual quality of products
If the composition of the same washing powder sold in Poland and Germany is different, we are dealing with so-called dual quality. Although it is an unlawful practice, exterminating it constitutes a challenge. The Produktoskop, a tool developed by researchers from the Łukasiewicz - Poznań Institute of Technology and the Poznań University of Technology, will be helpful in efforts to protect consumer rights. - News

Dr Marek Wagner, head of the Innate Immunity Research Group at Łukasiewicz - PORT, has achieved something that does not happen very often in Polish (and not only) science, but is the dream of every researcher. He has just published an article in "Nature", one of the most prestigious scientific journals in the world. Every year, 2.5 million patients can recover thanks to Polish researchers. Łukasiewicz - The Institute of Industrial Chemistry in Warsaw develops and produces active substances (APIs) that become the "heart" of medicines that restore the health of patients worldwide. In 2024 alone, the Institute produced 253,297,450 doses. - News

Defence and security, chemistry for industry, energy transition and the circular economy - these are the four key directions on which the research and pro-innovation activities of the Łukasiewicz Research Network will focus starting in 2025. The new development strategy was prepared by the Łukasiewicz Centre in cooperation with 22 Network Institutes and external experts.
