Impact is one of the most important events in Central and Eastern Europe, bringing together leaders in business, science and technology. This year’s edition gathered more than 650 speakers on May 13 and 14 in Poznań on 9 stages and 25 thematic tracks. We showed that R&D development and technology implementation is an important topic for the Polish state today.
We were present at a joint booth built together with partners on the side of science and public institutions. The stand was co-created by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Copernicus Science Center, NAWA and NCBR, among others.
Our presence at the Impak was noted by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski, who said that “the Lukasiewicz Research Network is the future of Poland today.”
In addition to him, we also hosted, among others, Minister of Science Marcin Kulasek, and Speaker of the Sejm Włodzimierz Czarzasty, who pointed out that “the contact between science and business is one of the most important, very future-oriented, contacts. There is no good business without science, there is no future of any country without innovation.”
An important part of the program was the participation of Dr. Hubert Cichocki, president of the Lukasiewicz Center, in the discussion “Competencies of the future as the foundation of tomorrow and a strategic advantage” in the Industry & Space Technologies track. During the speech, the CEO noted:
“We provide entrepreneurs with services and R&D projects that in the future can become intellectual property on which to build companies, lines or business models. I think this is a great value. The largest and most powerful companies in the world are built on a business model built on technology and adapted processes.”
