Rafał Cichy

Director

He has worked at the TABOR Rail Vehicle Institute (now Łukasiewicz – PIT) since 1997, starting as a senior design assistant. In May 2023, he became director of the Department of Certification and Inspection. He is the author and co-author of dozens of scientific articles, monographs, as well as several patents and utility models. He also addresses the issue of rail interoperability.

Education

He is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Working Machinery and Vehicles of the Poznań University of Technology. He also received his doctorate in the discipline of transport at this university.

Passion

Travelling, especially to his favourite Sudety mountains, and mountain-themed books. He enjoys learning about new cultures.
