JOB DESCRIPTION

The Translational Neuropsychiatry Research Group (TREND Lab), led by Dr. Ali Jawaid, MD, PhD, at the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Polish Centre for Technology Development (Łukasiewicz-PORT), operates at the intersection of neuroscience, metabolism, and epigenetics.

The lab investigates how metabolic cascades contribute to susceptibility and resilience to neuropsychiatric disorders across the lifespan and across generations. The group is funded by the European Research Area Network (ERA-Net), the EU Joint Programme for Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND), and the National Science Centre (NCN, Poland).

The successful candidate will work on a well-funded research project focused on the role of microglial metabolism in resilience against neuropsychiatric disorders. The position involves highly translational research within a dynamic and collaborative international research environment.
