Farada Group, a portfolio company of WSE-listed JRH ASI S.A., announces that it has signed a cooperation agreement with Lukasiewicz-Warsaw Institute of Technology in connection with the start of cooperation in the field of marine unmanned systems. The agreement paves the way for Farada Group to prepare and analyze a model for the commercialization and sale (or sales brokerage) of the Manta USV marine drone in foreign markets.

The document was signed on the second day of Defence24 Days, on the part of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Warsaw Institute of Technology the agreement was signed by the Director of the Institute, Dr. Grzegorz Gudzbeler, and on the part of Farada Group the company’s CEO Szymon Kupaj. The scope of the agreement includes the exchange of information necessary to develop a model for the commercialization of the Polish Manta USV drone and the evaluation of possible forms of its sale and distribution outside Poland. The parties assume that Farada Group, having international experience and a network of foreign partners in the unmanned systems sector, can support the Institute in preparing the solution to enter international markets.

The Manta USV is a compact surface platform under development at the Lukasiewicz Research Network – Warsaw Institute of Technology, designed for continuous monitoring of critical infrastructure, including offshore wind farms and fuel sector installations, as well as areas vital to the military and services such as the Border Guard. The 180-by-70-cm structure uses glass composites and hydrofoil technology, or submerged support lobes that lift the hull above the water’s surface, significantly reducing the track footprint even at speeds of up to 30 knots. The platform can operate in remote, semi-autonomous and autonomous modes and is immune to electronic interference, and in the event of a loss of communications, it automatically settles on the hydrofoils and waits for them to be restored, or continues the mission autonomously.

“In addition to flying drones, Farada Group is currently a manufacturer of hovercraft under license from the Aeronautical Institute’s Lukasiewicz Research Network, and now, thanks to the agreement, we are making a strong entry into the unmanned water segment. Thus, we are building an offering that includes unmanned systems and special vehicles operating in various environments, which significantly increases our capabilities in responding to the demand of both commercial customers and the defense and emergency management sectors. The Polish Manta USV water drone is an innovative solution of Polish technical thought, and we want to use our export experience to help open foreign markets to it.” – said Szymon Kupaj, co-founder and CEO of Farada Group.

The cooperation with Lukasiewicz-Warsaw Institute of Technology is part of Farada Group’s development model, in which partnerships with Polish scientific and research facilities play an important role. In March 2026, the company signed an agreement with the Military Institute of Armament Technology to develop the WARTOWNIK system for monitoring and protecting areas of strategic importance using aerial drones. It also received an invitation to field tests at the Polish Army’s Autonomous Systems Center.

“This is another important development step for Farada Group and confirms that the strategy of the emerging ORBITEO holding company is being translated into concrete projects. Farada is consistently expanding its spectrum of competencies, now going beyond the aerial systems segment. The Institute’s cooperation around the Manta USV drone paves the way for the company to enter a new prospective market area, while Polish unmanned technologies gain another opportunity for commercialization abroad. We are pleased that our portfolio companies are steadily expanding their operations and building diversified revenue streams.” – January Ciszewski, major shareholder and President of JRH ASI S.A., said.

Farada Group is one of the pillars of the ORBITEO project, a technology holding company organized by JRH ASI S.A., integrating Polish companies in the space, defense, AI and deeptech sectors.
