
Jolanta Itrich-Drabarek
Acting Director
She is a professor of social sciences and an expert on public administration in the fields of security, management processes, ethics or the implementation of information, and communication technologies, among others. Member of the Management Committee of the COST Programme – European Cooperation in Science and Technology 2023-2027. She serves as a deputy member of the Monitoring Committee of the Digital Poland Programme, as a representative of the General Council for Higher Education since 2023. Member and deputy chairperson of the Social Sciences Team of the Polish Accreditation Commission since 2024.
She has been elected by the scientific community to the Council for Scientific Excellence for the first and second term from 2019, and the Committee on Political Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where she has served as chairperson since 2024. She served as the UW Rector’s representative for IT and organisation until June 2024. She participated in national and European projects in the fields of public administration or radiological risks, among others.
She is a political scientist and professor of social sciences by training. She has worked at the University of Warsaw for many years and at the Military University of Technology since 2021. A member of the Political Science Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences since 2020 and its chairperson since 2024.
She has included her research interests and experience in numerous scientific publications concerning the role and place of public administration in a democratic state, internal and national security, information, and communication technologies, as well as ethics in the public service.
