Institutes of the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network and QEMETICA S.A. will develop innovative products and solutions for industry that will reach the Group\u2019s global customers. The cooperation will also cover dual-use technologies for defense applications. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network and the QEMETICA Group \u2013 one of the leading companies in Europe\u2019s chemical sector \u2013 have signed a strategic partnership. It concerns innovative chemical technologies that will support the energy transition and the development of a circular economy. The partners will focus on the development of materials technologies, new production lines, and energy-efficient solutions that improve industrial transformation.The cooperation will include research and development work, the implementation of innovations into production, and the commercialization of technologies. Its objectives include increasing the efficiency of QEMETICA\u2019s plants and enabling them to adopt new, more sustainable materials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAt QEMETICA, we want to develop and scale new technologies, and for that we need access to expert knowledge, often concerning highly niche solutions. The partnership and the combination of our industrial experience and business competencies with the expertise and resources of the \u0141ukasiewicz Network will allow us not only to conduct joint research and exchange knowledge, but also to implement projects focused on the commercialization of innovative materials and other novel ideas,\u201d explains Marek Piecyk, Director of QEMETICA Future, a new business unit responsible for the development of innovation within the QEMETICA Group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

QEMETICA Future identifies, develops, and commercializes technologies and business models that go beyond the company\u2019s traditional portfolio, including glass, silicates, silica, and soda ash. Its goal is to build new market segments and respond to emerging technological gaps. The team within the new unit works with R&D centers, research institutes, startups, and investment funds, analyzing trends, companies, and solutions that may become an impetus for the Group\u2019s further development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur Network is primarily interested in research and development projects that can be applied in the economy. \u0141ukasiewicz helps companies increase efficiency through technology, which directly affects their margins,\u201d says Dr Hubert Cichocki, President of the \u0141ukasiewicz Center. \u201cThanks to the strategic partnership, the Network\u2019s 22 institutes can offer the QEMETICA Group not only ready-made technologies, but also plan development research with specific production needs in mind,\u201d he adds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The partnership with the QEMETICA Group fits into the strategic directions of the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network defined in 2024.
