On September 3, the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network and Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. (Polish Armaments Group, PGZ) signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at intensifying cooperation in research and development and the transfer of modern technologies to the Polish defense industry. The ceremony took place during the 33rd International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce (MSPO).<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The agreement covers joint activities in areas such as autonomous land, sea, and air ballistic protection platforms, special infrastructure, rocket, ammunition, armored and mechanized technologies, air defense, cybersecurity, aviation and space technologies, as well as solutions for soldier protection. The cooperation will be carried out by 22 institutes of the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network and companies belonging to the Polish Armaments Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network institutes and PGZ have been working together for many years to promote national defense and security. Their collaboration has resulted in the creation of, among other things, the Piorun portable anti-aircraft missile system, the new Borsuk combat amphibious infantry vehicle, and the Rosomak wheeled armored transport vehicle. PGZ has also expressed interest in new projects by the \u0141ukasiewicz Institute of Industrial Chemistry and the \u0141ukasiewicz Institute of Organic Industry in the field of nitrocellulose and nitroguanidine production: intermediate products necessary for the manufacture of ammunition and explosives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooperation under the agreement will be coordinated by a specially appointed Steering Committee, which will include representatives of both parties: experts with experience in science, management, and the defense sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Close cooperation between \u0141ukasiewicz research institutes and the arms industry represented by companies belonging to the Polish Armaments Group will enable the delivery of further innovative technological solutions needed by the Polish Armed Forces.
