At least 96 sets of Mobile Unmanned Reconnaissance Vehicles (MBRVs) developed by \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network will be delivered to the Polish Armed Forces. Poland\u2019s Armament Agency selected the offer from \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Industrial Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP for the ‘Tarantula’ mobile reconnaissance robot.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PIAP will supply 96 sets of reconnaissance robots, i.e., Mobile Unmanned Reconnaissance Vehicles, for approximately PLN 50 million gross, with the possibility of increasing the order to 130 MBRVs. Additionally, \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PIAP will provide the Polish Armed Forces with 10 Maintenance and Repair Sets (MRS), as well as organize vehicle testing and operator training. Deliveries are scheduled in batches until the end of 2027. 
 
The MBRVs are expected to perform reconnaissance in direct contact with troops, penetrate areas inaccessible to humans, transmit data from reconnaissance sensors via wireless audio and video transmission to the operator console, and navigate various terrains. The MBRV design also allows for transport in military vehicle compartments and carrying by a single soldier.

Kosiniak-Kamysz supported the use of funding opportunities to further economic development and ensure security: \u201cI strongly encourage the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network and all its institutes to actively pursue proposals available from the National Development Bank and the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy.\u201d 
 
Defense as a priority for \u0141ukasiewicz

The contract signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense W\u0142adys\u0142aw Kosiniak-Kamysz, Secretaries of State at the Ministry of National Defense Pawe\u0142 Bejda and Cezary Tomczyk, Brigadier General Artur Kuptel, Head of the Armament Agency, Hubert Cichocki, CEO of the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network, and Piotr Szynkarczyk, Director of \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PIAP. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
