Research concerning innovation in the national security and defence sector as well as the implementation of scientific results for technological security – this is the aim of the cooperation between the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network and the Military Counterintelligence Service. The letter of intent establishing cooperation in this area was signed by dr hab. Hubert Cichocki, President of the \u0141ukasiewicz Centre, dr hab. Leszek Kwieci\u0144ski, acting director of the \u0141ukasiewicz – ITECH Institute of Innovation and Technology, and Brigadier General dr Jaros\u0142aw Str\u00f3\u017cyk, head of the Military Counterintelligence Service. <\/strong><\/h3>\n

\n\t\t\t\tSigning the letter of intent results from our awareness of the challenges facing the Polish national security sector. In a complicated geopolitical situation and in the vicinity of Ukraine, which is fighting for peace and freedom from the Russian aggressor, technological development based on innovative solutions constitutes one of the key directions for Poland's development. Experience in recent years has shown that modern technologies and their rapid adaptation are the foundation for building strategic advantage. \t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Many of the technologies used in defence are derived from the civilian sector, where faster R&D cycles and lower indirect costs drive innovation. The \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network possesses considerable expertise in this area. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\tWorks concerning technology deployments in the area of defence and national security constitute a key focus of the Network's activities in the coming years. Cooperation with the Military Counterintelligence Service will allow us both to analyse trends and threats in this sector more quickly and to respond more efficiently to challenges arising from the implementation of technology policy to strengthen Poland's security. \t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The scope of cooperation between \u0141ukasiewicz and the Military Counterintelligence Service includes joint research and analysis of the state’s technology and innovation policy in the security and defence sector, in particular analyses of trends, threats and challenges in this field, research concerning technological sovereignty in the area of strategic technologies, implementation of research projects and commercialisation of research results into the economy and defence industry.<\/p>\n
