The \u0141ukasiewicz Centre also takes part in the consortium carrying out research concerning gravitational waves and dark matter. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lukasiewiczgov.sharepoint.com\/sites\/Ludzielukasiewicza\/SitePages\/astrocent-centrum-lukasiewicz-fale-grawitacyjne-ciemna-materia.aspx#astrocent%2C-czyli-centrum-naukowo-technologiczne-astrofizyki-cz%C4%85stek%2C-otrzyma%C5%82o-15-milion%C3%B3w-euro-na-realizacj%C4%99-projektu-w-ramach-\"><\/a>AstroCeNT constitutes a unit established to carry out scientific and technological research in the field of particle astrophysics, focused on exploring the hidden Universe. An additional aim of its work is establishing a new international centre of excellence in this field in Poland. It will carry out high-quality interdisciplinary research and development activities, particularly in the search for dark matter and the study of gravitational waves.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The potential benefits of this work range from developing science to innovative technologies with high potential for industrial and medical applications. This is a major opportunity for developing &nbsp;the <em>high-tech<\/em>&nbsp;sector in the Polish economy. The discoveries can be used to understand black matter, neutrinos, and gravitational waves, among other things. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the project, \u0141ukasiewicz&#8217;s staff will support AstroCeNT in setting up the new centre, but also provide advice concerning technology transfer to the economy. The amount of received funding is up to EUR 15 million. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e9d96ac elementor-blockquote--skin-boxed elementor-widget elementor-widget-blockquote\" data-id=\"e9d96ac\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"blockquote.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<blockquote class=\"elementor-blockquote\">\n\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-blockquote__content\">\n\t\t\t\tAstroCeNT constitutes a great opportunity for Polish science because we are strengthening Poland's position internationally. The new project will create a new ecosystem of interdisciplinary innovation with key partners from Europe and the world.
