Participation in the SEMICON semiconductor fair, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the field of cybersecurity with ITRI and a non-disclosure agreement with NARLabs – these are just some of the \u0141ukasiewicz achievements during the Polish economic mission to Taiwan.<\/h3>\n\n

The September mission was full of meetings with leading Taiwanese research centers and semiconductor manufacturers. Its main goal was to participate in SEMICON, one of the most important semiconductor fairs. The Polish pavilion was one of the most frequently visited, and the \u0141ukasiewicz institutes established numerous contacts thanks to which they will develop research and commercial projects with partners not only from Taiwan, but also from other countries.<\/p>\n\n

Science partners<\/h3>\n\n

The mission\u2019s agenda included a meeting with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), with which \u0141ukasiewicz has been cooperating for a long time in the field of microelectronics. Talks with ITRI in Hsinchu resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding also in the field of cybersecurity. \u0141ukasiewicz’s representatives conducted a workshop during which they presented the potential of cooperation in this area. The result of the visit to ITRI in Tainan will be the organization of a workshop on microelectronics, photonics, artificial intelligence and broadly understood autonomous mobility in the near future. <\/p>\n\n

During the trip, a number of meetings with representatives of other world-leading scientific and research centers were also held. One of their effects is the signing of a non-disclosure agreement by \u0141ukasiewicz – IMiF with the Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute, National Applied Research Laboratories (NARLabs). The stay on the island also allowed us to strengthen cooperation with Academia Sinica, the largest Taiwanese university, and Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology. \u0141ukasiewicz has already signed Memorandum of Understanding with both institutions, and the visit resulted in the first details regarding project cooperation programs. The meeting at TaipeiTech, as the National Taipei University of Technology is commonly called, also demonstrated significant potential for future cooperation. <\/p>\n\n

Business partners<\/h3>\n\n

An important element of the mission was a visit to SENTEC, a leader in the automotive, electronics and semiconductor industries. The meeting allowed us to strengthen cooperation with \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 GITi \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 IMiF. It was also the basis for initiating business cooperation with China Motor Corporation. Moreover, the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network has become a key research partner for SENTEC, necessary for research and business expansion in Europe. <\/p>\n\n

Part of the agenda also included a meeting with Minister Ming-Hsin Kung from the National Development Council of Taiwan, during which the cooperation in the field of gallium nitride technology was discussed. Moreover, representatives of the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network actively participated in the Investment and Business Seminar, presenting \u0141ukasiewicz as a modern and reliable partner for partners from Taiwan. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\tThe mission brought tangible results in the form of signed cooperation agreements and announcements of joint projects with Taiwanese partners. Thanks to the participation of a wide range of representatives of \u0141ukasiewicz institutes, we presented a complementary research and development offer. It is the cooperation and synergy between our teams that make \u0141ukasiewicz a unique network in the world. The fact that we are an attractive partner for a global leader in the field of semiconductors proves our high potential in both scientific and commercial projects \t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The economic mission to Taiwan was a week of intense work, which in the near future will be measured by joint projects at the research and commercial interface. Apart from the representatives of the \u0141ukasiewicz Center, the following institutes took part in it: \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 IMiF, \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 GIT, \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT, \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 IEL, \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PIMOT, \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PIT i \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 EMAG. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
