During the Korea-Poland Business Forum, the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network announced the signing of important cooperation agreements with renowned institutions from Korea. The agreements were concluded with representatives of the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI), and Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATECH), opening up new opportunities for scientific and innovation development in Poland.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Korea-Poland Economic Forum, which took place at the Westin Hotel, was attended by over 350 representatives from Polish companies and nearly a hundred representatives from the Korean business community, including well-known conglomerates such as LG, Samsung Electronics, and Hyundai. The externally organized event, under the patronage of the Polish Agency for Investment and Trade, was an excellent opportunity to establish contacts and initiate cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Economic Forum was graced by the presence of the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, and the President of South Korea, Yoon Suka Yeol. The arrival of so many Korean companies together with the President of Korea demonstrates the growing interest in the Polish market and its scientific potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the agreement signed with KETI, cooperation will focus on the areas of photonics, microelectronics, and information technologies. Cooperation with KIAT will involve the exchange of knowledge and personnel between the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network Institutes and Korean universities, research institutes, and industry. The agreement with KATECH specifically pertains to the development of transport automation technologies. The Aviation Valley Association and the Association of Polish Aviation Industry, to which \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation belongs, also concluded a joint agreement with the Korean Aerospace Industry Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooperation with Korean research and industrial institutions in the field of advanced technologies will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of innovative solutions. Both sides of the agreement will strive to promote institutional exchange, organize conferences, technological seminars, and workshops, as well as conduct research and exchange of knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Forum entails more than the speeches by Presidents and bilateral discussions between Polish and Korean company representatives. It also includes panel discussions devoted to Polish Korean cooperation, involving major companies and institutions from both countries. Networking is also ongoing throughout the day to facilitate relationship-building between companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network, represented today by President Andrzej Dybczy\u0144ski, Vice Presidents Remigiusz Kopoczek and Marcin Kraska, and other key representatives, is ready to implement joint projects and intensify cooperation with Korean partners. The future of science and innovation in Poland seems increasingly promising thanks to such agreements and investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

South Korea is one of the largest non-European investors in Poland, with nearly 550 companies with South Korean capital operating there. The value of Korean exports to Poland reached USD 7.90 billion, increasing by 19%, making Poland the 3rd largest recipient of Korean exports in the EU (after Germany and the Netherlands). The value of Polish exports to Korea amounted to approximately USD 1.1 billion. South Korean entrepreneurs are increasingly choosing Poland as a location for advanced electromobility processes, renewable energy, and transportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network is the largest network of research institutes in Poland, working towards technology transfer and supporting innovation. By bridging the gap between science and business, \u0141ukasiewicz offers modern solutions, implements new technologies, and conducts research aligned with market needs. It operates in various fields, including advanced technologies, energy, medicine, advanced materials, robotics, engineering, and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
